Although Halliburton Systems Inc has now diversified into a number of new areas, one of our core competencies has always been technical services. Over the last 30 years we have produced a number of complex systems always finding a way to get things done. Projects have ranged from laboratory measurement and data collection to automating the layout of a monthly magazine. We have been using Linux systems since 1993 (version 0.93) and have worked with many other types of hardware and operating systems including Data General AOS/VS and the Control Data and Cray supercomputers. We have over 25 years of experience with the THEOS operating system and have worked with various board-level systems.

HSI has produced its own faxing software for both THEOS and Linux. We also have written programs to produce PostScript pages for magazines and invoices. All of this programming was done in C (with a little bit of assembly language in some cases). We have implemented complete interactive web sites and developed an accounting system that passed the audit requirements of the US Navy and the OMB. HSI wrote custom software to analyze propeller design and also to track silver recovered from used photographic film.
