Prospect List Generator

The TARGET system is capable of compiling lists of prospects using different information that is entered, so you can use the information to send bulk faxes and e-mails as well as creating a list of prospects for mailing brochures or advertisements.

Prospect List (multi choice)

This choice is the most commonly used because you can create a prospect list using a wide variety of choices.
  • Choose #32 PROSPECT LISTS in the Back Office Main Menu
  • Choose #11 PROSPECT LIST (multi list)
  • First enter D for Domestic, C for Canadian or F for Foreign Prospects. Once you have made your choice, the address fields will be generated accordingly.
  • Next, you MUST fill in the Prospect Field. D = Dealers, E = End Users, * = both Dealers and End Users. The default is E.
  • Fill in the Sort? field. A = sort alphabetically or Z = sort by zip code.
  • The Fax? field asks if you want prospects that have fax numbers. Y = have fax numbers, N = don't have fax numbers or B = both. If you are generating the list for a bulk fax this comes in handy because you don't want the search to return with prospects with no fax number. The default is B.
  • If you want to send information to prospects that have a certain selection code in your system, then you should use the selection code field. If you want to eliminate prospects within a certain selection code, then use the Not: field.
NOTE: ANY FIELD THAT IS LEFT BLANK WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IN THE SEARCH. Other than the fields mentioned above, you do not have to fill in all the fields, just the ones that pertain to your search. The more fields you fill in, the narrower the search will be.

Prospect List by Machine

This choice allows you to create a prospect list based on machinery information.
  • Choose #32 PROSPECT LISTS in the Back Office Main Menu
  • Choose #12 PROSPECT LIST BY MACHINE
  • First enter D for Domestic, C for Canadian or F for Foreign Prospects. Once you have made your choice, the address fields will be generated accordingly.
  • Next, you MUST fill in the Prospect Field. D = Dealers, E = End Users, * = both Dealers and End Users. The default is E.
  • Fill in the Sort? field. A = sort alphabetically or Z = sort by zip code.
  • In the Machine Field, enter the type of machine(s) you would like to use to generate the prospect list
    • W = prospects that have wanted listings
    • S = prospects with machinery for sale
    • B = prospects that have bought machinery from you
    • X = prospects you know that own a particular machine
    • K = prospects for which you have a consignment machine
  • You may enter any combination of the above letters. If this field is left blank, the default is all types.

Prospect List by Quote History

This choice allows you to generate prospect lists based on a particular machine that has been quoted or all machines in a category that have been quoted.
  • Choose #32 PROSPECT LISTS in the Back Office Main Menu
  • Choose #13 PROSPECT LIST BY QUOTE HISTORY
  • First enter D for Domestic, C for Canadian or F for Foreign Prospects. Once you have made your choice, the address fields will be generated accordingly.
  • Next, you MUST fill in the Prospect Field. D = Dealers, E = End Users, * = both Dealers and End Users. The default is E.
  • Fill in the Sort? field. A = sort alphabetically or Z = sort by zip code.
  • You MUST fill in the Resolution: field. C = Current, F = Finalized, and N = No Sale
  • Then enter the beginning and ending quote date. This field must also be filled in.
  • Next, you must enter a machine number.
