Kathy has been part of the HSI team since 2001 and learned the business from the ground up, from the dreaded mailing list project, to accounting, to handling customer support on the UEN site. She now has the primary responsibility for web site development and maintenance for our customers' sites. Naturally, she sticks to the HSI tradition of carefully hand-editing all HTML code. Kathy's main focus is to produce simple, clean, effective sites that look professional, carry the message, load quickly, and are easy to use. She takes pride in being able to create sites that are just right for each individual company, whatever the type of business; some examples are machinery dealers, pizza shops, piano teachers, professional associations, and dog treat suppliers. In addition to web design, she has also become quite good at making brochures and mailers, creating display ads for websites/magazines, designing bulk HTML emails, and is an expert in the use of PhotoShop; see the photo fixing page on our site for some examples of this. Kathy has an AA in New Media Technology and a Web Development Certificate from County College of Morris where she's taken courses in web design, graphics, animation, video and media aesthetics. She's continuing her education with classes such as marketing, and is pursuing a Bachelors Degree. In her off hours, Kathy enjoys playing percussion and is a drummer for a couple of bands. She's also fond of drawing, chicken saltimbocca, music, red wine, chocolate, and sleeping. Need a web site? Have one that just doesn't quite do it for you? How about a company brochure? Or a quick mailing? Give Kathy a call. Or e-mail her: kathy@hsix.com |
