The FERRUPS is so smart you can practically program applications on it, and it provides power so clean your mom would like it. We have written the WATCHDOG program so the FERRUPS and your Theos system can work together to keep things running (almost) no matter what.

WATCHDOG provides for specific actions to be taken as power conditions change. As an example, you can turn off the write cache when the system switches to batteries; you could stop spooled printers when the battery condition has dropped to a low runtime. The system will shut down cleanly when batteries are in really poor shape and not restart until they charge up enough for another clean shutdown.
