Halliburton Systems Inc has been known primarily for custom programming for much of its 30 year history. We have written programs for everything from Data General minicomputers to single-board data acqusition systems and pretty much everything in between. Recently, our primary focus has been on interactive web sites (either public or private) since this makes the user interface independent of the desktop operating system. Most of our interactive web site projects are discussed further on those pages.

A few of our recent custom programming projects are:

• A complete business system for a company that relocates vehicles around the country. The system does pricing, issues quotes, tracks sales activity, handles dispatch to carriers, customer service calls and confirms credit card charges.

• Designed and implemented the programming for a laboratory instrument that measures chiral activity (rotation of light polarization) in molecules. This system is completely 21CFR11 qualified and provides virtually unlimited storage of results. Hundreds of measurement methods can be defined in the system under each of the governing pharmacopeia, making individual measurements easy to set up and repeat. Instruments deployed into the field communicate with our servers via an encrypted VPN so we always know their status.

• We produced a complete automated magazine layout system for the leading publication in the used equipment field and now operate that system for the publisher. This is an important point: in addition to producing the custom programming, we often operate the resulting system for our customer. This particular system was the result of nearly 30 years of continued refinement and re-implementation on several different types of systems from Data General to THEOS to Linux, all without a single minute of downtime.
