TARGET Revision 20.2

November 2006

1. Searching in F3 & F4 has been changed in several ways. A check for a phone number will now compare against all phone number fields, including mobile and home. Also, the ? search will now show the prospect type on the result screen.

2. Several of the Prospect List Generator (back office 32) screens have questions Fax? and Eml?. We have changed the definitions of these slightly. Previously the interpretation was that the question asked if the prospect HAD a fax number or email address. Now we interpret it to mean if the system can USE that method for bulk marketing. As an example, if you choose Y for the Fax? question, the prospect must now not only have a fax number but also have the bulk fax permission flag set to Y. If you choose N for the Fax? question, the prospect will be selected if he doesn't have a fax number OR if he has one but the permission flag is set to N. The same applies to emails.

3. The Sales Manager Report will no longer show NS quote resolutions that resulted from a prior sale or machine scrap. This was just killing too many trees.

4. There is a new function in F4 (Prospect Tracking) that allows direct maintenance of permanent nags. If the current prospect has at least one permanent nag for the current salesperson, there will be a N<ag> choice at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up the first applicable permanent nag and give the usual M<odify> choice as well as Fwd and Back if they apply. Note that the rule that nag dates must be in the future still applies so if you want to change the nag interval on an old permanent nag you must start with a future date.

5. Speaking of new functions in F4, there is also now a L<tr> function that can be used to go directly to letter maintenance (F11/13) to modify or resend an existing letter. Just enter the letter number on the F4 screen and off you go.

6. There have been some cosmetic changes to emailed quotes. The machine number now shows in the subject. If the machine is not coded with the # advertising code for UEN/website the program will not produce a link to it in the email.

7. The F8 A<vail> function now has a nag function; this is done in terms of number of days in the future rather than specifying a date.

8. The email Stock List (in all its many forms) now has a selection on manufacturer available. This may be used in conjunction with the category selection or with a blank category field. If used with a blank category selection, it finds all machines in all categories with that manufacturer and organizes the result by category.

9. You may now change the subject line of a bulk emailed quote.
